Meet Our Staff

Jennifer Solosko Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist

Life is a journey that often presents challenges, joys, heartaches and opportunities for growth. There are times when we are able to navigate life’s ups and downs by ourselves or by drawing on our current resources. At other times, it is necessary to reach out and allow others to help you on the journey by providing you with a warm and caring environment, safety and support, or education and tools.

My main purpose is to help clients achieve more secure bonds, improve attachment, promote healthy relationships and resilience.

I work collaboratively with my clients to formulate their goals. We explore together strengths, resources, areas of concern or places for potential growth. After creating an individualized treatment plan, I utilize various tools and techniques to assist my clients find within themselves the power to bring about the changes they are seeking in their lives.

Melanie Scott Licensed Mental Health Counselor

“Love has an immense ability to help heal the devastating wounds that life sometimes deals us.”

-Sue Johnson-

Sometimes we lose our way in life. We can become disconnected from our true sense of self, from our partners and our families. My goal as a counselor is to help individuals, couples and families rebuild important connections so that they may live happier, healthier and more abundant lives.

I believe that we all have the innate capacity to become aware of old patterns that do not serve us and that we can learn about and create new ways of being in the world.

I am trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy, mindfulness techniques, trauma informed treatment interventions, and grief and loss tools. I work to create a safe, nurturing environment during counseling sessions in order to help clients overcome difficulties, achieve their goals, and build stronger connections with the most important people in their lives.

Shannon Higham Associate Marriage and Family Therapist

I truly love being a therapist for the opportunity to engage with people. I’m able to ask evocative questions, listen for clarity, and help identify answers that naturally arrive within the safe space of therapy.  My clients inspire me as they achieve greater insights into their own stories and make progress towards their desired goals.

My marriage and family therapy background is focused on relationships with others and self. I use Emotionally Focused Therapy to understand the difficulty and isolation we experience and then provide the tools for connection and acceptance. I find great success working with couples, parents, children and individuals to find the confidence, security, and resilience needed for a positive approach toward your life.
